AWI Junior Merino Judging Competition
Introduced in 2017 The AWI Junior Merino Judging Competition has been a hit with young farmers, with 39 entrants from 5 schools competing in 2018. The competition at Dowerin Field Days is the preliminary event to the State Junior Merino Judging Championships at the Royal Perth Show and offers entrants the opportunity to compete in Merino Sheep Appraisal and Merino Fleece Judging.
Registrations for this competition will open in June 2019

Young Farmers Challenge
A team of four consisting of men and women aged between 18 – 35 take on 10 farm challenges in the hopes of winning $2000 prize!
In future years we are hoping the winning team will be able to participate interstate at the RAS state finals. But for now, Dowerin Field Days is offering $2000 in prize money to the winning team and a great opportunity for young people within the Agricultural industry and regional towns to network, unite and showcase what a day in the life on the land entails!
