Dowerin Field Days Takes out WA Tourism Award 2018

Presentation of the 25th Belmont & Western Australian Small Business Awards were held on Wednesday 24th October at the “Night of Stars Event” in the ballroom at the Perth convention centre.

Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days were finalists and represented on the night by Nadine McMorran (Chairperson), Kahli Rose (Assistant Event Coordinator), Tiffany Davey (Assistant Event Coordinator), Les Howard (Groundskeeper and long term volunteer), Shirley Howard and Denise Sutherland (both long term volunteers).

We were honoured to be awarded as winner of the Tourism Award proudly sponsored by the WA State Government.  This is a fantastic achievement not only for Dowerin but the surrounding communities whose passion and dedication to the event shines through year to year.

Our sincere thanks to our Sponsors, Exhibitors, Volunteers and Visitors for their ongoing support of the field days event. Dowerin is such a unique date on the Agricultural Calendar and one we should all be very proud of.

In the past 10 years alone we have injected over $1.3 million back into community projects and grants for local organisations. From funding construction of buildings and sporting facilities around Dowerin, to helping local schools expand technology for the future generation. This alone is what sets our event apart from others, our strong community presence.

Congratulations to you all this is an award we can all pat ourselves on the back for!
