New Motoring Arena

Media Release
DOWERIN Events Management is gearing up to produce one of the best Dowerin GWN Machinery Field Days yet, with the introduction of a new motoring arena to the site.
Motoring enthusiasts from around the state will have the opportunity to view the latest range of cars, motorbikes and associated businesses when they visit this year’s event, in one convenient location.
DEM president Philip Metcalf said the car and bike companies had always enjoyed great success at the Dowerin Field Days and were a major drawcard for those looking to upgrade the family vehicle.
“Buying a vehicle can be difficult when you live in the country, because unlike our city counterparts, we do not have a dealership just around the corner,” Mr Metcalf said.
“For many, the nearest dealers are hundreds of kilometres away, and trips to search for a new car or farm bike can often be a rushed and very stressful experience.
“The Dowerin Field Days offers visitors with a unique opportunity to compare the latest range of cars and motorbikes, in one location.
“It is for this reason we have decided to create a larger and more vibrant area, to give our visitors the best possible experience when it comes to finding their new vehicle.”
The motoring arena will be located south of the football oval, and is expected to contain 19 different car and motorbike companies.
“Visitors will not only get to see the latest range from companies such as Toyota, Holden, Ford, Yamaha and Suzuki, but will be entertained by demonstrations, and may even get to meet a celebrity or two,” Mr Metcalf said.
“It is just one of the many reasons visitors should not miss this year’s Dowerin Field Days.”
