Dowerin Events Management, the organisers of the iconic Dowerin Field Days, are currently seeking a part-time Assistant Event Co-ordinator to join their team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting to the Event Coordinator, the main duties will include:
Data base administration
Exhibitor and Visitor Liaison
Committee Support and Liaison
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will be able to provide evidence of the following selection criteria:
Experience in working as a team member in a very busy high pressure office environment.
Exceptional organisational ability and time management skills, with attention given to accuracy, detail and follow up procedures.
High level problem solving skills in terms of both forward planning and providing on the spot solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills that result in a high standard of customer service to a range of clients.
Very high level of keyboard and computer skills (in terms of speed, accuracy and complexity), preferably with experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel).
High level written and verbal communication skills, with experience in writing day to day correspondence, accurately recording minutes, answering the telephone and talking to groups of people.
The ability to accept responsibility and use creativity and innovation both as a member of a team and working autonomously as required.
The ability to work flexible hours over the course of a year.
Previous catering experience will be highly regarded
